Kevin R. Austin

Kevin Austin is a dedicated public servant, retired military officer, and lifelong resident of Pitman, New Jersey. With decades of leadership spanning municipal government, local public safety, corporate operations, and military command, Austin has built a career rooted in fiscal responsibility, community protection, and service before self.

First elected to the Pitman Borough Council in 2013, Austin served two terms with a sharp focus on mitigating real estate tax burdens, protecting local control, and preserving the vibrant downtown business district. He currently serves on the Public Safety Committee, the Local Emergency Planning Committee, and the Zoning and Planning Board.

Austin's dedication to protecting Pitman families spans over 40 years in public safety with the Highland Chemical Engine Company, including 22 years as Fire Marshal directing the Pitman Bureau of Fire Prevention. In 2018, he achieved status as an International Association of Arson Investigators Certified Fire Investigator, and he was honored as Grand Marshal of Pitman's 2025 Fourth of July Parade.

A highly decorated veteran, Austin served 37 years in the U.S. Army National Guard, rising through the enlisted and officer ranks before retiring at the rank of Colonel—experience in leadership, logistical planning, resource management, and crisis response that he has carried into municipal government.

In the private sector, Austin served as Director of Procurement for Sancoa International, managing international supply chains and contract negotiations. He is a 1976 graduate of Glassboro State College (now Rowan University) with a B.A. in Biology.

Kevin and his wife, Elaine, raised three children in Pitman and now have six grandchildren. He remains committed to keeping the community safe, affordable, and thriving for the next generation.

Robert “Bob” Hahn

Bob's connection to Pitman goes back more than 60 years. He moved here in 1966, graduated from Pitman High School in 1974, and has continued to call Pitman home ever since.

His career has taken him through industrial engineering and material planning, followed by his current work with the United States Postal Service.

One of the most remarkable chapters of Bob's life was his 36 years of service in the U.S. Army Reserve. He deployed to Iraq and served in Kuwait, taking on responsibilities ranging from logistics and contracting to convoy support and training.

Bob was also an accomplished competitive marksman. Beginning as a young shooter, he went on to compete nationally, earn numerous trophies and medals, and receive the Distinguished Rifleman's Badge. He also shared that expertise by conducting marksmanship training for fellow soldiers.

After decades of work, military service, and community involvement, Bob is ready to bring that same discipline, experience, and commitment to service to Pitman Borough Council.
